when anyone starts learning any programming language, he doesn't know anything about the syntax of that programming language. so to give a basic understanding of the syntax of the programming language, we start with the "Hello World!" program. The "Hello, World!" program also gives some confidence that he or she can learn the language and motivates him or her to keep on learning.
